Google is holding a hardware launch event on August 13, two months ahead of its usual schedule, and it’s expected to reveal the Pixel 9 family on that occasion. This will be the biggest Pixel series ever, with the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold giving you way more high-end options than ever before.

Today the pricing for all of these devices in France has been leaked, so let’s get into it. The Pixel 9 is said to arrive in Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Cosmo, and Mojito – since Mojito is most likely green-ish, we assume Cosmo is the leaked pink-ish hue from last week.

The price for the vanilla model will be €899 with 128GB of storage, and €999 with 256GB. The Pixel 9 Pro will be about the same size as the Pixel 9, but will feature more cameras. This one will start at €1,099 with 128GB of storage, go up to €1,199 with 256GB, and €1,329 if you need 512GB.

The top version will only be offered in Obsidian and Hazel, while the other two also get Porcelain and Pink (Cosmo, is that you?) options, allegedly.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL will have the same innards as the Pixel 9 Pro, but will be larger – size-wise, this is the true successor to the Pixel 8 Pro. It will start at €1,199 with 128GB of storage, and will be priced at €1,299 with 256GB, €1,429 with 512GB, and €1,689 with 1TB.

The 1TB version will only be available in Obsidian, the 128GB and 512GB models add Porcelain and Hazel, while the 256GB variant is the only one also offered in Pink. It’s not easy to make sense of this strategy for us either, don’t worry.

Finally, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be the successor to the original Pixel Fold from last year. This one will set you back €1,899 with 256GB of storage and €2,029 with 512GB. It will be available in Obsidian and Porcelain only.

As with all pricing leaks in euros, note that different VAT levels might create small variations across the EU, but if this leak is accurate, then that’s what you should expect as a baseline.

For reference, note that the Pixel 8 was €100 cheaper in the 128GB iteration when it launched, and €140 cheaper with 256GB. While the Pixel 9 Pro is similarly priced to the Pixel 8 Pro in its base model, the 256GB version is €30 more and the 512GB model is €40 more, and the comparison isn’t even fair to begin with – as we already mentioned, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is the true successor to the Pixel 8 Pro, and with that in mind the bigger Google non-folding flagship for 2024 is at least €100 more expensive than its predecessor was.

While these prices won’t necessarily translate directly into any other currency, it stands to reason that those which haven’t changed from last year for the EU will stay the same as they were in 2023 in other markets as well, and those that did go up will also go up across the globe.
