Modo Casino is joining online sweepstakes casino rival Chumba in racing this year’s Daytona 500.
Modo, an online sweepstakes platform owned and operated by ARB Interactive, announced this week an expanded partnership with Spire Motorsports and Michael McDowell’s No. 71 car. Modo and Spire first struck a partnership last August that included Carson Hocevar’s No. 77 car for four races in 2025.
The 2026 partnership between the sweepstakes casino and NASCAR team comprises Modo Casino becoming the primary sponsor for McDowell’s No. 71 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

NASCAR Embracing Sweepstakes Casinos
Online sweepstakes casinos provide players with interactive gaming, including internet slot machines, table games, and live dealer offerings. The platforms claim to be free-to-play social gaming websites and apps, though critics say their dual-currency arrangements essentially allow real money online gambling that’s unregulated and in violation of state gaming laws.
Gaming regulators, state attorneys general, and the legal gaming industry, represented by the American Gaming Association and the Indian Gaming Association, argue that sweepstakes casinos are illegal gambling operations. Numerous states have sent sweepstakes casinos cease and desist orders, and several states have passed laws banning dual-currency sweepstakes promotions altogether.
Despite the widespread criticism, NASCAR allows its teams to partner with the leading sites.
Chumba and 23XI Racing
This week’s Modo Casino news follows Chumba Casino last month extending its partnership with Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s 23XI Racing. The Chumba deal includes the sweepstakes casino wrap being displayed on Tyler Reddick’s No. 45 Toyota XSE at the Daytona 500.
Known as The Great American Race, the 68th running of the Daytona 500 on Feb. 15 will mark the first time that an online sweepstakes casino will be prominently displayed on not only one, but two, cars.
DraftKings Sportsbook and Fanatics Sportsbooks have sponsored Daytona 500 cars in the past. And Hard Rock Bet is an official partner of Daytona International Speedway.
