- WSOP removes No Limit after AI deepfake dialogue is exposed.
- Players allege fabricated quotes, manipulated context, and no prior consent.
- Series will be reedited as WSOP apologizes for unauthorized AI.
The World Series of Poker has pulled all episodes of the poker docuseries “No Limit” from its YouTube channel after its creator/producer admitted digitally altering an interview with AI-generated deepfake audio that made a player appear to say things he never said.

Dustin Iannotti promised to “tell poker stories that match the stakes” through his film, but the stories didn’t even match what at least one player said on camera.
On Saturday, Iannotti admitted in a now-deleted post on X that he used deepfake lip-syncing techniques in post-production. That was after one of his subjects, the high-stakes poker player Alan Keating, called him out on the platform for “putting words in his mouth.”
Fake Voices
Iannotti said AI had been used on two brief sequences during post-production to aid “faster scene transitions and narrative pacing.” He acknowledged that he should have consulted Keating on these “editorial choices.” He did not apologize.
“This doesn’t deserve a response, and you know why,” replied Keating.
The fabricated quotes attributed to Keating include the following: “I don’t even like tournaments. I like putting people in tough spots and testing their will. And then ripping their heads off.”
When contacted by PokerNews, Iannotti claimed that these were the only two instances of synthetic media within the docuseries. But another player who features, the similarly-named-but-not-related Alex Keating, felt otherwise.
They’ve clearly added a fake voice in for me. And re-edited things without context,” Keating wrote on X. “I never agreed to this.”
The player went on to note that he and others gave freely of their time to “help the show and grow the game.”
“All we’re asking for in return is some respect. Don’t manipulate what we say just to make a cleaner storyline,” he added.
Series to be Reedited
The WSOP said the docuseries would be reedited and released at a later date.
“WSOP has recently learned that AI-generated content was used in the No Limit docuseries to alter players’ words without authorization. We have removed the videos and will redo the editing to ensure the final product reflects our standards. We sincerely apologize to everyone affected and appreciate your understanding.” the statement read.
